Visiting Physiotherapists from other Australian States or Territories
The Physiotherapists Registration Act 1999 requires that all persons practising physiotherapy in Tasmania must be registered.

All physiotherapists visiting with sporting teams, or providing or attending lectures or conferences with hands-on components, etc. need to register with the Tasmanian Physiotherapists’ Registration Board. The Board grants limited registration to visiting physiotherapists on receipt of a completed application form, provided that the physiotherapist would normally be eligible for registration in Tasmania. No registration fee is payable. The Board does not provide a Certificate of Registration however all applications will be acknowledged.

Limitations:
Physiotherapists travelling with visiting sporting team are only permitted to treat members of that team. Physiotherapists attending a course or seminar are only permitted to apply treatments for the purposes of demonstrating or learning a technique. This form of registration is not available for physiotherapists acting as locums or for other short term appointments where practitioners may be treating a number of patients.
