REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
REGISTERING IN TASMANIA
  1. FOR PHYSIOTHERAPISTS WITH FULL REGISTRATION IN ANOTHER STATE OR TERRITORY


    2. Fill out the “Application for Registration Under Mutual Recognition” form ( .pdf document - 124 Kbs). Send to the Registration Board, along with evidence of registration in participating state (practising certificate) and a cheque for $300.00 being prescribed application fee of $150.00 and prescribed registration fee of $150.00.

  2. PROCEDURES FOR PHYSIOTHERAPISTS HOLDING AUSTRALIAN QUALIFICATIONS, BUT NOT CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN ANY OTHER STATE OR TERRITORY


    3. New Graduates:

    Fill out the “Application for Registration under the Physiotherapists Registration Act 1999” form ( .pdf document - 137 Kbs). Send to the Registration Board, together with a certified copy of degree or transcript of results, two (2) character references on the pro-forma documents and a cheque for $300.00 being prescribed application fee of $150.00 and prescribed registration fee of $150.00.

    Physiotherapists previously registered in Tasmania and returning to work after absence etc:

    Fill out the “Application for Registration under the Physiotherapists Registration Act 1999” form ( .pdf document- -137 Kbs). Check with the Board as to what other documentation is required to be submitted. (This will depend on duration of absence etc).

  3. OVERSEAS QUALIFIED PHYSIOTHERAPISTS


    4. Overseas physiotherapists cannot register in Tasmania without passing the AECOP Examination.

  4. PHYSIOTHERAPISTS WITH FULL REGISTRATION IN NEW ZEALAND

    Fill out the “Application for Registration Under Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition” form ( .pdf document - 122 Kbs). Send to the Registration Board, along with evidence of registration in New Zealand (practising certificate) and a cheque for $300.00 being prescribed application fee of $150.00 and prescribed registration fee of $150.00.
